Reflection on Branding

Branding is the process of creating an identity for an individual, product or company. This involves making a unique presents that differentiates the brand from anything else on the market. There are so many companies, having an established presence helps to create brand loyalty meaning that people will stick to what they know. Branding helps people get noticed.

There are many reasons why Branding is so important for businesses and small companies:

  1. Branding improves recognition
  2. Branding creates trust/credibility
  3. Branding supports advertising
  4. Branding helps financial value
  5. Branding can generate new customers

These are very similar to an individual using branding. When conducting research on branding I came across a quote that I thought sums up personal branding.

“CREATING A STRONG PERSONAL BRAND FOR YOURSELF ESTABLISHES YOU AS A NATURAL LEADER AND OPENS DOORS.” BY

I believe that branding is the key to success, it makes you stand out from the crowd and showcases that you are a true contender within the industry. Its how you put your own stamp on the design. When developing my own branding I want to keep things simple, keep the colours to a minimum, and make it stand out. For instance I take inspiration from converse and Michael Buble.  The reason is that simple is better then something over the top. Also thinking of where i want to go in society – means that I can produce items to sell at a pretty cheap price. I want to be an athlete and a broadcaster for disability sports so this would get me recognised.
